making a nice face

the opposite end of the spectrum

and the extreme

taylor has been out of town for work and i missed him so much! he had a late flight in last night and to celebrate his arrival and LOST(hello?!) i made him red snapper tacos-they were delightful! i made a fresh salsa of avocado, red pepper, and mango that was super tasty on top. the snapper was seasoned with cajun seasoning and lime/chili sea salt. i also had some slaw, cilantro and a drizzle of blood orange/lime for toppings. taylor loves sour cream(don't we all) but i get so conflicted when i go to buy it because of all the fat that i just used 0% greek yogurt- so tangy and tasty. and the corn tortillas were from whole foods- 3 ingredients- stone ground white corn, sea salt and water. delish!

spring is officially here! yay! one of my favorite things to do at this time of the year is sit out on a porch when the sun is still out and just relax and chat with friends/taylor :) saturday night after i taught class we were on a hunt for a porch to chill on and i suggested cosmic cafe because i really enjoy the vibe there. we took some pics and really enjoyed our meal. we found it hilarious though that people come to eat a healthy vegetarian meal here yet they can't refrain from smoking!?! seriously? tofu doesn't go well with rat posion. come on people- doesn't that defeat the purpose? anyways -sorry to go on my rant. i swear...i didn't let the smokers steal my peace. there was a deck of tarot cards on the table and taylor and i had quite a time 'impersonating' card readers while telling one another what the future holds.....according to the cards that is. we will just say there was a lot of rising suns and past moons and meeting of the makers and cosmos. good times.

friday night was make your own pizza night at the vieger casa. taylors' beautiful sisters came over and we had so much fun. seriously who needs to go out when you can stay in and have good food and conversation with good friends? we really enjoyed ourselves- aubin and rayne - you should come over more often. and thanks to hilary for the awesome doodle placemats. we learned about new creatures and had fun drawing them as well. art time is my favorite time..with my favorite guy:) tv.

taylor and i rode the lake this afternoon. it is so nice to be out in the sun in the afternoon enjoying the beautiful weather with my honey. and talk about people watching. i could be entertained for hours. the dog park alone is a clown parade in itself. it is so fun to watch all the characters...the small dogs versus the big dogs. added a few pics from the day-
