my birthday month

ALERT the press....in a few days it will be february, the month of my birth. yes that is correct, in our family(learned from my mother of course) the women celebrate all month long. and if there is any request no matter how small or large...you can always follow it up with' well it's my birthday month' -end of story. in honor of my birth i am going to share some birthday wishes just in case *cough cough* anyone is reading that wants to know. i always try to keep my friends in family in the know. for their benefit of course :0

guest room

hello. i am in a project mood. my mission: the guest room! i am feeling grays with yellow. don'tknowwhy? i don't particularly fancy either one of those colors but with their powers combined :) they give a calm feeling. any votes for the bedspread in the guest room? very bottom pic or the one second to last? side note:isn't the gray poof (technically white in gray) so cool?!!

boo hoo

sometimes someone or something can make you so upset and so hurt that is stays with you a couple of days. i'm trying to shake it but i am still a little peeved. oh well- i'm sure it's nothing a bikram class or too won't cure. oh and lets hope a night of debauchery in austin (gabbys' 30th this weekend) will do the trick. i am trying to keep my eyes on the future realizing that NOW is not permanent and tomorrow is long gone. as usual i am trying to be positive, focus on the bright side and trust in gods' plan! i struggle with this and i agree for sure it is easier said then done. but no worries- i will fake mrs. brightside until i see the sun!

last night tay hurried home and we packed a dinner to go for the road and headed out to ft.worth to see hilary, bryan and their newest addition - baby luke! i was so excited to see him, hold him, and hang out with him- all of the above! he is so tiny and soooo cute. bryan and hilary are rockstar parents and for such little sleep they were so sane. i would be carving my name into the wall talking to the voices in my head if had hadn't slept. :o thanks for having us over bry and hil! we are so blessed to have a healthy new baby in the famliy- we love yall!

no words can describe how precious baby luke austin baker is. i tear up just thinking about him! hilary and bryan have such a beautiful healthy new baby boy! i cannot believe it. i don't know if it was the lack of sleep from the night before, the fact i REALLY need my hair highlighted, or that i just knew the moment i held him how much i already love him.....but when he was in my arms i just couldn't stop crying. he is a precious gift from god and i am so grateful for this new blessing and addition to the family.
